Frequently asked questions

If you can't find your answer here, give us a call.

How often should I see the dentist?

For most people, every six months. Depending on your oral health it may need to be more or less often. We will discuss this at your first visit.

What happens at the first visit?

We get to know you, carry out a full examination and talk about your history and goals. You leave with a clear treatment plan and no obligation.

Does professional cleaning damage enamel?

No. Cleaning removes tartar and stains without affecting the enamel, and protects teeth and gums from inflammation and decay.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Yes, when supervised by a dentist. Before we start we check your teeth and gums and choose the method that suits you.

How long does implant treatment take?

Usually from a few weeks to a few months, because the implant needs time to bond with the bone. You know every stage and the timeline from the start.

I'm anxious about the dentist. How do you help?

Anxiety is very common and we take it seriously. We go at a gentle pace, explain each step before it happens and stop whenever you ask.

Do you see emergencies?

Yes. For severe pain, injury or swelling, call the practice and we will see you as soon as possible.

What technology do you use?

Low-radiation digital imaging, modern diagnostic and treatment equipment, and strict sterilisation protocols.
